Explain the connection clearly
Agree why both companies are appearing on the same stand. A product and service may complement each other, or two solutions may form one workflow. Visitors should be able to understand that connection. Two adjacent logos do not explain who supplies which part or why a joint demonstration is useful.
Check whether every shared statement genuinely applies to both partners. Avoid wording that accidentally suggests identical terms, shared liability or one unified organisation. The limits of each company's offer should remain clear in its own materials rather than being blurred by the shared visual presentation.
Manage space and appointments together
Allocate exhibits, meeting places and storage logically. A shared table needs a shared appointment view. If each company makes promises independently, the conflict appears only when a visitor is already waiting. Also agree who covers the welcome position during breaks and demonstrations.
Rehearse a typical handover between companies. The first person briefly summarises the request and introduces the relevant contact. Visitors should not have to explain the same basics repeatedly. At the same time, nobody should automatically pass on confidential information merely because both teams occupy the same floor area.
Agree follow-up in advance
Clarify how enquiries are allocated and promised replies completed. A jointly collected contact list is not automatically available for every possible use by both businesses. Base the process on the actual request and applicable data-handling and business procedures. Where the scope is unclear, ask rather than assuming unrestricted sharing.
Discuss practical costs and materials before assembly too: who orders, receives deliveries and takes away leftovers? Keep a short written record of decisions. After the show, review handovers and working arrangements together before judging only the number of conversations. From a visitor's perspective, effective cooperation is most apparent in clear next steps and a reply from the right person.
